PERSONALITY
Highly ambitious and goal-oriented, Judith Kane works hard to prove herself capable to both herself and her peers, to the point of being a bit of a workaholic as well as overconfident/reckless despite the inherent danger of her career. Her reckless, almost oblivious behavior toward dangerous situations is often just to prove that she can and will go so far to succeed. She is fixated on the concept of 'cold, hard truth', which makes integrity and balance very important traits to her. She is highly critical, mostly of herself, but it often bleeds into her perception of others, causing her to be judgemental of other people’s ideas and skeptical of their ulterior motives when there isn’t anything to be skeptical about.
TRIVIA
- Outside of work, Judith enjoys going to the shooting range in the power training facility near her apartment to practice her magic, as well as taking some basic self-defense and boxing lessons from there as well. She’s gotten quite good at the latter, though she’s still an amateur given that it’s only a hobby. She also enjoys reading, photography, and has had a long time fascination in leather crafting- the jacket she wears is one she made herself with help from a friend in the business.
- She has a pair of black and white pigeons named Yin and Yang, they are her favorite little guys in the whole world and she will spoil them whenever she can. It’s not uncommon for her to talk to them in a rubber duck debugging kind of way when she’s struggling with a case or her writing.
- She is an absolutely horrendous cook, and often settles for fast food and cheap store bought meals to get by without giving herself food poisoning. Plus, it’s just easier when she’s in and out of the office all the time.

BACKGROUND
Judith Kane is an intelligent woman who works as an investigative journalist for a newspaper/website called The Daily Truth, specifically covering tragic events and shocking world news. Engaged to a man she hates, she is dependent on him for income due to her office being on the brink of bankruptcy and her family refusing to support her career choices.Judith has been tailing the PRISM and soulbound cases for the past three years in an attempt to save her job and get the recognition and career success she craves, but in a twist of fate ends up becoming soulbound herself.
