In college for a nursing degree, she takes her studies extremely seriously and tends to avoid parties and other distractions.

Despite having her nose shoved in her books so often, she does manage to make some friends along the way.

To save on tuition costs, she opted for having roommates, and ended up meeting Mango that way. At first she wasn't sure if they'd get along too well, as it was extremely clear that her new roommate was VERY outgoing.
But the sweet personality of Mango eventually wins her over, and eventually they grew close enough that the feelings developed into a crush... and eventually they went from friends to girlfriends.

After becoming close to Mango, Ramona starts to frequent more events and parties, opening up and gaining more friends along the way.
