Growing up as a troubled teen in Night City isn't in any means of the word 'rare', and it's exactly how Cheri started off her life. Eventually her parent's had enough and sent her to a boarding academy where she was finally able to really tuck in and find her real passions. She knew she would end up working for a corporation and was lucky enough to find herself getting to sign onto her dream company right out of school. She signed in, knowing she would have to work her way up towards the R&D of the environmental restoration project.
Her life is looking up as she works hard in the company. She's assigned her first employees and then soon after her own apartment! She even found time to enjoy herself and starts dating as well as begins her move to dip into exotic looks and cyberware. Cheri found herself becoming close to another woman who signed into the company at the same time as her and start dating as they share the same aspirations within the company. They help each other slowly climb up the ladder, time and time again backing each other against upper management and helping each other on whatever assignments they could.
A position had popped up in the exact department they had both been striving for and pinky promised they would help each other get there before anyone else. Of course, this is Night City. Cheri came into work to find Norah's office cleaned out and had to ask around to find out that Norah had been promoted to the position. Without her. Without telling her. Norah went no contact with Cheri as soon as the was moved into the Exec Zone. Taunting her with nothing more than. "Try looking out for yourself."
Had she not been? Cheri wasn't sure. Her personal assistant was there to reassure her, but he was also paid to do so. She found herself down and bedridden until her reassignment came through. Depressed, anxious and not ready for whatever the fuck is going to hit her next she pulled herself from her stupor and showed up for work. A new boss. A new department. A new employee. She was already scorned and had to bite back tears when she found she was going to be assigned to be a cleaner for Biotechnica. Accepting the job graciously it was the last thing she wanted to do.
Cheri finds herself in lulls of depression, having no drive to do much more than take care of her plants. When she's feeling up to it she enjoys relaxing and occasionally going on a date. Looking for someone unaffiliated to the company who isn't absolutely crazy in this city but still likes to have her kind of fun.
Cheri is driven to take down Norah who she now considers her Archrival and is going to figure out how to dethrone her and take the position that should be hers. A lot of her time is spent working, researching and preparing for whatever she needs to do to make sure she can gain the power she needs.

When at work or working Cheri is what some people might describe as "bored" or just maybe "boring". She's straight forwards and willing to do what she has to, but will try to choose an outcome that benefits everyone. She will choose herself, her job, her employees and her company over a stranger however.
Though, not heartless. She has hope for the future and thinks people can be considered inherently good despite situations they're often put into. She loves Love and would be considered a hopeless romantic despite having a unhealthy handful of bad relationships. Cheri has a lot of hope that there's someone in Night City that is perfect for her. You could find a collection of romance flicks and books hidden somewhere in her stuff. She's also known to be very supportive of her employees and close friends. Her love language is quality time but shows her love through giving gifts.
Plants are her calling in life however. She grows as many plants as she can and does extensive testing on soil quality, retention and cultivation as she tries to make the strongest specimens she can. She takes these samples into work for brownie points sometimes. Should the world not be fucked up. She'd probably be a Botanist
