Brightpetal

KIT: Brightkit was born to the medicine cat Blueeye without a known father. Blueeye wasn't at all caring towards her kit. She had been uncaring towards her first kit(at this point Drypaw) but to Brightkit she was uncaring as well as cruel. Brightkit was a rather skittish kit because of this, though their brother was kind to them and they had a friend, their den mate Ripplekit. The three of them were pretty close, although they began to spend less time together when Drypaw became a warrior and Ripplekit became an apprentice.

APPRENTICE/YOUNG WARRIOR: Brightpaw was excited to get out of the nursery and away from Blueeye. They were even more excited when Floodstar announced he would mentor Brightpaw. the first half of Brightpaw's apprenticeship was normal, untill one moon, Blueeye died. To most cats' suprise, she was banished to the Dark Forest, but Brightpaw was glad that they wouldn't have to see her even in death. Unfortunatly the clan was left without a Medicine Cat, but not for long. Ripplepaw had begun to take an interest in herbs and was almost immediately appointed as Medcat apprentice. Towards the last moon of Brightpaw and Ripplepaw's apprenticeship(Ripple had to be held back as she didn't know enough about healing yet)Ripplepaw developed a crush on Brightpaw.

After they got their full names, Brightpetal began to start liking Ripplespeckle back, but she had started to fall for Drystorm, and Brightpetal watched angrily as the became closer and closer and soon became mates. It wasn't too long after that until their kits were born. Brightpetal really wanted an apprentice after that, as they had begun setting their eyes on the deputy role, and with Drystorm's and Ripplespeckle's four kits as well as 2 other, older kits, there were surly enough for Brightpetal to become a mentor. However Floodstar wasn't thinking straight as he had just lost his mate, and he ended up giving multiple apprenticies to the other warriors besides Brightpetal. Brightpetal, furious confronted Floodstar and told him to more fairly distribute the apprentices. Brightpetal was given Strikepaw as an apprentice while the others had a mentor shuffle so only one cat had to mentor a second apprentice. Brightpetal loved Strikepaw. She was a good learner, but fun at the same time. But one day on patrol they came across a band of rouges, and Strikepaw was killed. Brightpetal was devastated, but also dissapointed they hadn't been able to fully train an apprentice. The next moon, they asked Floodstar if they could train Finpaw, his apprentice, as the leader was busy and grieving. Floodstar agreeded and Brightpetal was able to watch Finpaw become Finstripe.

WARRIOR: Right after his kits became warriors, Drystorm passed away, and his family, including Brightpetal, was devastated. Brightpetal had been angry, but they certainly hadn't wanted their brother to die. A couple moons passed when suddenly Drystorm visited Brightpetal in a dream, and told them that their mother Blueeye, who had been banished to the dark forest, had payed for her mistakes and was now let into starclan. Brightpetal was furious that the cat that had caused them so much unhappiness wasn't being punished anymore. After that anytime Drystorm tried to visit Brightpetal, they would ignore him, and eventually they managed to force the feelings down and forget about it.

Not too much time passed after that before Brightpetal began to spend time with the warrior Birdgaze. They both really liked each other and Brightpetal always brighted when they got to spend time with her. But there was another warrior, Gravelclaw, who also really liked Birdgaze. To her, he acted brave, confident, kind and loving. To Brightpetal he was rude and mocking. Still, somehow, Birdgaze fell for him and they became mates, while Brightpetal angrily watched them grow closer and closer. Birdgaze still considered Brightpetal her closest friend, but Gravelclaw continued to pester them. When Birdgaze announced she was expecting kits, Brightpetal snapped, and they killed Gravelclaw. Birdgaze was devastated when they found his body, and she gave birth to a single kit a few days later. Brightpetal's crime was never uncovered, and they still loved Birdgaze, so they helped her raise Sandykit, and by the time Sandypaw was an apprentice, they had become mates. Brightpetal got Sandypaw as her apprentice, but the two of them just couldn't work well together, so Brightpetal told Floodstar to give Sandypaw another mentor, so that they would both be happier. It was around this time that Brightpetal also began noticing their former apprentice Finstripe wasn't following the code, and they confronted him many times about it, before eventually giving up as Finstripe continued to sneak off or eat prey on patrols or hanginig out with kittypets and loners.

A few moons passed and Sandywillow had become a warrior, but little did Brightpetal know, Starclan had told her about Brightpetal's crime. She didn't do anything though, mainly because she didnt want her mother to be sad again. But somehow, Finstripe figured out that Brightpetal had something to do with Gravelclaw's death, and he told the entire clan during a meeting. Everyone was angry and upset, and Brightpetal was exiled. They died a few moons later, killed by rouges, and was banished to the dark forest, much like their mother had been. Brightpetal spent most of their time thinking about those who hurt her; Finstripe, Blueeye, Gravelclaw, Floodstar. Little did they know one of those cats had joined her in the dark forest...
