Mizar, the sister of the twins, is a ball of energy just waiting to be deployed. She's got virtually boundless creativity, although she doesn't always use it for good - like her brother Acrux, Mizar has a knack for causing trouble, and gladly takes on her twin in an endless prank war. Although her energetic nature is kept more close to home, Mizar can also be convinced by older sister Eridani to run off on some exciting adventure, ripe for causing mischief. Mercury and Newton are sometimes at a loss with how to handle the twins -- their curiosity, creativity, and ingenuity are to be commended, but the way in which they use it sometimes has disastrous results. (The two most memorable are the meteorite crash that brought these pups to Mercury and Newton -- what, you thought it was an accident? -- and that one little incident involving a sparkler -- Lumen now lets Kepler do the supervising when Mizar is up to her old tricks once again)

Acrux, the slightly more introverted of the twins, is not nearly as mischievous as his sister, but is still a little trickster. He's not above helping brother Russel with his stakeouts or investigations. Mostly, though, Acrux tries to limit his chaos-causing to his prank war with Mizar (although sometimes it does affect others -- again, see the sparkler incident with Lumen). Although he's playful and energetic with his siblings, Acrux is more introverted outside of his family. If they are all in a group, if Mizar is off doing her own thing, he actually tends to stick more to himself or near Lumen. Too much social time drains his battery, and likewise grand adventures that take him away from home safe home for very long, so he is neither a partier nor one to follow his siblings on their adventures. He's perfectly content to stay home and nap or read or, better yet, play Solitaire by himself or board games with his family.
