Red Diamiond is the first natural gem and theoretically mother to all gems.

After she emerged she created two other beings. Green and Dream Blue Diamond.

She set the status of perfection very high and forcefully commands it so.

Gem production boomed after she let Green and Dream Blue Diamond colonize.

After a successful ERA 1, Red Diamond made two daughter figures. Auburn Diamond and Rose Gold Diamond.

Auburn Diamond was made to one day take Red's place. Intentional placement of her gem, the forehead to show wisdom and superior status.

Rose Gold Diamond was made of extra essence and came out much smaller than intended.

She still rules with an iron fist and has constant fights and arguments with Auburn Diamond, who is straying from her path.

Red made Auburn to be the perfect heir to her throne. Her mistakes was that she gave Auburn Diamond a forehead gem, something that simbolizes wisdom, and compassion. Auburn is too sympathetic and empathetic. They have fights constantly over the way the gem empire should be ran. Red believes in shattering, resetting gems, discarding ones that are worthless to her purpose. Red doesnt allow cross fusion. No gem can think for themself. Red's way or no way. Gems can only live under the diamonds rule. Auburn believes in the opposite. This causes a rift in the Diamonds relationship. Eventually causing Auburn to leave the circle of homeworlds for her own with a small rebelion, following in her ways.

Red and the other diamonds have a common relationship. Green Diamond and Red get a long just fine. They share a near similar thought on how the empire should be ran, they are close. Red and Dream Blue Diamond don't talk or socialize as often as Green and Red do. Before Auburn left, Dream Blue was fine and shared the ways of Red Diamond. Once Auburn left, she second guesses the empire and has since shunned the other diamonds. Red has taken Rose Gold Diamond under her care. Trying to teach her ways and show her how to one day take the status of leading diamond. Rose Gold Diamond is horribly immature and grows on Red's patience quickly. She tries daily to straighten her out but always ends in childish fights.
