this is a heavy work in progress, and my first fully fleshed out character page! there is more to come in the future!

lives in the endless forest, close by to the pond and crying idol
bergylt began when bunches of lily pads growing along the stream leading to the pond began to pile up, growing into each other along the crying idol statue. when the plants had begun a buildup of water from the crying idols tears, eventually the foliage dam broke loose, lily pads snapping off their stems and rushing down the stream so quickly that they began to form what is now bergylt.
he washed up on the sand bar of the pond, a koi coated fawn with the face of an inky koi, with orange fins and inky black gills to match. since then, he has lived in close vicinity to the crying idol statue; viewing the statue as a parent or a guardian.
bergylt has varying abilities [thanks to his paranormal creation]. he can often be seen laying, walking, or generally being on top water as if it were a solid ground. this is due to the fact he is primarily made up of lily pads, and he can sit comfortably on top of the water.
he can also survive perfectly well underwater [thanks to his aforementioned gills], and finds it to also be a comfortable resting spot.
however, these unique abilities do come with a drawback. if he is to stay beneath or resting atop the pond water for longer then 3 nights, he will begin to disintegrate back into a bunch of lily pads, and live the rest of his days as foliage. bergylt loves and appreciates the pond water as his home, and a way for him to connect with his creator; the crying idol. this being said, he finds himself often teetering on the edge of this drawback.
he has the normal abilities that also come with being an entity in the endless forest, like spell casting.
bergylt has always been a very curious and outward new soul, ready to frolic and explore as if he were still a young fawn. he enjoys rousing up his close friends into prancing around the pond, casting spells on each other, or seeing who can breathe the longest underwater [which he always, miraculously, wins at.] amongst other games and activities. he's a social creature, with little understanding of things like personal space or social cues, however he means no harm nonetheless.
he finds himself uninterested in romantic relationships for the time being, too focused on finding joy in every part of his life.
he finds friendship to be very important, and loves making new friends [though the company he tends to find are quite reserved.] he can often be seen alongside beetle, and mallard. he can also be seen amongst many other deer and fawns, and is always ready to make new friends!
