Hayate is the kind of person who doesn't talk much. He does his job, he does it well and that's all. He hates being bothered, especially if it's for nothing. He does what he's told, he follows orders and nothing else, after all that's what he was born to do.
A telepath, he can read minds if he wants to, but he's never told anyone - it's his little secret. He can also levitate objects and other things, including himself.

Brought up in the same place, it was at the age of 6 that the boys met and were brought together. Eiji is loud, clingy and flirtatious, everything Hayate hates. However, even though Hayate will never admit it, he probably cares for him more than anyone else.
Meeting her on one of their missions, Hayate initially has trouble with the young girl. He won't trust her right away, but once he understands her true intentions, he'll end up being much nicer.
They end up forming a trio, acting together against their organisation.
Boss of the Japanese branch of the organisation. Hayate does what he tells him to the letter; he's never known anyone but him as a form of authority. In his eyes, he owes him everything, up to a point...
