Facts;

• Her tongue is fully black, which is why she always covers her mouth.

• She likes to read about demonology to understand Shax better.

• Despite not having any other choice, she quite likes being a priestess and exorcist.

Backstory; She was left in a basket near the churches front gates, accompanied with a small letter, that was clearly written with shaking hands, it spelled Mara. When the High Priest felt the demon within her, he immediately took her inside. Asking for God's help in his mind, he began casting the sealing ritual. 

Because of the ritual, three crosses appeared on her. They help keep the demon within, though the tail is always shifting between being out and not. 

Because of this, Mara has been raised as in the church, as well as being a direct apprentice under the High Priest, who thought her exorcism and showed her faith. 

Now she's a very skilled exorcist and priestess, who's also in line to become the next High Priest (ess). Everyone respects her greatly. 

Personality;

She doesn't talk much and doesn't ever shake hands. She's afraid of the demon coming out though she truly hopes to one day earn it's trust. 

Quite untrusting, usually talks to her demon or co-workers she considers friends. Picks her friends carefully because some only want to be with her for status.

Aside from her trauma, she's still quite happy and girly. Loves to be with other girls, though not a huge fan of shopping or things that involve showing herself. 

Relationships;

Shax (demon) - at first it's only goal was to take over Mara, though now it cares for her (Mara doesn't know). It is strong enough to chip away at the seal every decade, though Mara sometimes lets him out accidentally when she's in danger, because of her weakened state. While Shax would never allow Mara to die, it isn't just because of nobility. He's still quite selfish and wishes to be the one who controls, not the controlled. 

High Priest - they've never had much of a father-daughter thing, Mara thought of it as being more patient-doctor and at times she felt that mentor-student connection.

Mary Overview;

(Mara's mother)

A poor woman, in both money and looks. She always dreamt of becoming an exorcist or a priestess, though she never had much talent for either and no money too, she couldn't afford the school or apply for a scholarship. 

Her life turned for the worse when her parents made her leave their home at 25, when she got pregnant. The father of her child left her too, as he was a royal guard who didn't wanna throw his life away just yet. 

Mary found a small hut near the dark forest and was set to live out her days there, until that faithful day..
