“ Not wanting to let his son go alone and unguarded through his journey, a crafty mother took it upon herself to create a creature capable of bringing company, joy and protection. With the little she had around and the few trinkets a curious alchemist gave her, a small slime bug type creature was created. Small enough to carry, smart enough to defend and sustain arduous scenarios and with all the love she could give the first Casquito was created.”

“On one of the boy’s journey, a strange man caught glimpse of the small critter; growing curious and amazed, the man quickly wanted to replicate the critters look and mass produce it to sell and profit. Trying to find the materials to begin his work, he stumbles upon the alchemist that first helped create them. […].”

What are Casquito?

In short, they are little slime critters with a helmet. In detail, they are based on the idea of crafting your own little buddy, their body consists of a slime that can sustain the elements. As in lava, water, mud, bubbles, and similars, but carry a distinct helmet like head that is crafted to give form and body to the critters.
Think of them a little build a bear type thing jajaja.

What makes a Casquito?

They are of a slime consistency that is made out of any element the creator desire, with a helmet type head that helps them keep it all together. They can have little trinkets and random stuff floating in them depending on the source of the slime and type of objec. (eg. A magma body can have little to no critters around because they would perish, water based slime can have litte fishes and objects but no dirt or sad, etc)

They are capable of only taking two forms, both long and chubby. One is of a chubby grub, with distinct head, tail and legs, sometimes appearing with more than 6 legs. And the second form tends to be of a chubby manatee, with just the head, fins and tail. They can be long or short, but always stays in a chubby state.

What is they’re status?

They are open species at the moment and in continuous development.
