Cursed since youth, Yoel once bore resentment towards the world for what he believed to be an unjust fate. At the sagely words of a stranger (who he nowadays believes to have been a spirit), the male adopted a new perspective. Short as his life will likely be, he too can leave a lasting impact behind, woven in memories. He currently resides in a small village as an apothecary and herbalist. There, one after another, he stumbles onto new faces that would forever change his life.

As a greenhorn guardian angel, Yoel waltzed into his assignment anticipating a fairly standard mission: protect his charge and guide them towards righteous decisions. Unfortunately, techniques on reeling in his stubbornly defiant ward and chasing off a weirdly persistent demon are not at all taught in the guidebook. Worst of all, his divine connection has been cut, seemingly barred from heaven.

A local florist who always seems to be a magnet for strange figures. Some way or another, many of his customers end up confiding in him for the strangest advice.

Yoel doesn't exactly formally meet Ceae as much as he tends to stumble into the other for most aus. Often, its not the most favorable of first impressions either, but that's never been something to stop Yoel in past friendships. He recognizes Ceae as a man of many secrets. In his eyes, though, the distrusting nature are scars of a difficult-led life. Until Ceae opens up, Yoel simply welcomes the other's companionship. He is pleasantly surprised by how open Ceae is to accompanying his whims at times.

In most aus, due to the situations surrounding his upbringing, his childhood encounter with Roxy becomes a catalyst that sparks a change in demeanor -- shaping Yoel into the kindhearted soul people know him to be today. Just as she viewed him in a nonjudgmental light, he extends the same to her upon their reunion in later years -- not fretting his friend's atypical family circumstances. Roxy draws out a more confident aspect of Yoel and drives him to want more for himself.

The air about Dantalion induces high regard, of which Yoel finds himself subconsciously treating the man as a respected elder. It helps that the other man has a principled nature and an aura of a reliable person. If ever seeking advice outside of his family circle, it is easy to confide with Dantalion in a heartbeat. It also helps that the two share an appreciative fondness for nature.

acquaintances

Depending on the au, the two become familiarized by extension of shared connections. Yoel is often strung along by her vigor and stories when they exchange conversations. In CS, he get into a disagreement with Aurelia, but also acknowledges that their respective positions to the conflict are not born from malicious intent.
