As far as his father knows, Ionnes is a quiet yet polite shy young man. In truth, he's an antisocial aloof saucy boy whose favorite hobby is sleeping around with an ever rotating stock of partners. He only bothers putting in any effort to interact with people if he's interested in them, otherwise he stays closed off— which gets mistaken for "aw he's just a shy" (no he actually just doesn't care).
In his culture, especially for people of high social status, it is considered polite and formal to wear a masquerade-like mask in public. It's an old tradition that isn't stressed much in current times but there are still people who abide by it. Ionnes almost always wears his mask even around family. He basically only takes it off if he's in his own room or alone with someone he has or is currently trying to seduce.
