Many would describe Cash as wild. And, they'd be right. He's a dual-wielding, self-proclaimed "badass" living near the Boarder Breach, a rift between humans and monsters. To survive in such a Hellish, desolate wasteland, one must be willing to forgo their humanity (or, rather, what little humanity half-breed Cash could even have) to survive.
Abandoned and young, Cash began picking up bounty jobs for the United States government. Although disgruntled at his monster-like appearance and questionable tactics, no one could deny his skill. He was highly influential in battle and aided in holding back the more influential figures of the monster world from impeding on human Earth.
But, human society could only do so much against the superior monsters beyond the void. Even with Cash's help, society collapsed. The ruin was atrocious, the death even more so. Despite his prejudiced treatment, Cash still had a human family and human friends he loved. He'd met other monsters who he related to and grew to love; he knew they could be good people, too. It tore him up. Neither side saw victory. The destruction of everything he fought to project would be something he could never get over, even if he pretended like everything was alright... Even if he acted like everything was just as fucking cool as ever!
So, Cash stayed fighting. He joined forces with other humans and monsters who just sought peace and a livable world, helping protect and provide for the encampment their collective built in the shadow of the desolate city beside the Boarder Breach.
Cash didn't think his years with the military were for nothing. No, he knew they had a purpose. He would use his past to fight for the future. He'd protect his family. Even if he didn't see peace in his lifetime, he would surely be a pillar in its eventual beginning.
