Cerise is a playful, flirty, witty and yet serious woman. When running her shop she is quick to make sure her customers are aware of the quality of her wares and services while also not overcharging those who need access. While she is serious at work she is quick to smile and have fun, often stopping to play with children in the market during spare moments or grabbing a pint at the local pub when she doesn't feel up to cooking for herself. During these moments she'll playfully flirt with the old men or share recipes with the barmaids. She doesn't mind getting her hands dirty, often gathering the herbs she needs herself and can be a bit stubborn when it comes to things she deems important.
She grew up as the youngest daughter of a budding merchant family. They didn't start out wealthy but quickly gained wealth with their development of perfumes and soaps which had caused them to move from their small village at the edge of the kingdom into the main city proper when she was young. Since then she has had formal schooling, though not as much as others in the same rank, and while her older sister decided to inherit the family business, Cerise wanted to learn about herbs for healing. While she isn't a physician yet, she's opened a shop of her own to start selling what poultices, salves, potions and supplies she can make until she's saved enough to get a proper education. To save on some costs, she lives in a small apartment above the shop and does most of the harvesting of herbs in the garden behind it, though she does purchase what she can't grow.
