Childhood
If only you had a childhood to appreciate.
Oberon Selke was born to Pearl and Boris Selke, the eldest of two. As far as he can remember, their relationship was rocky. At around 5th grade, his parents had divorced, and Boris took Oberon while Pearl kept Casia. After he had to move, Oberon got more and more aggressive, considering his home life.
Climax
Letting go will never be as painful as this.
Exchanging letters with his mother, since he was denied a phone from his father, Pearl had learned of Oberon's risky home life, and the possibility that if she didn't do anything, Oberon would be in high risk of getting hurt. She made the trek to take Oberon, and eventually, after sneaking into Boris' house, and making the trip back home, Pearl, Oberon, and Casia were all a happy family. But Oberon could never forget the trauma he had experienced back at Boris' house.
Growth
I am sorry, for I am a monster.
Oberon, as soon as he went into highschool, strived to be the best he can be. He joined electives, band, and tried to be caught up at school for as long as he could. Oberon was better at making friends than he was in elementary and middle school, and became close with four others. Eli, Bayou, and twins Shea and Shiloh, were all in band with him in the low brass section, so it was easy to get along. They became a close fit, and would cause lighthearted trouble.
Once reaching graduation, Oberon, Eli, and Bayou chose to keep in touch, but went their separate ways. Shea and Shiloh stayed with him to create a band, which was Oberon's original idea. Once they had set up the band Hellhounds, their bond grew significantly, and they sang at many different nightclubs and local restaurants that would fit their aesthetic. But at the club he had visited to sing at most, he found a stranger looking at him specifically. Shocked and surprised by the fact they weren't uncomfortable by the fact he had been baring his teeth or being wolf-like, Oberon tried to find this stranger to talk to them, but they had disappeared.
