Kiko's parents were thieves on the run. Before they were caught, they left Kiko in a village of Pumpkin people when she was a baby.
The pumpkin people obviously raise her as their own, collectively naming her "the village's baby". Kiko is very nice, but doesn't speak to anyone outside of the Pumpkin village. She is very distrusting of other humans, and often acts cold towards them and makes sure they do not come near the Pumpkin village.
