uhhhhhhh what if there was a vex goblin that started to overtake an exo guardian's head and became a guardian separate from the vex mind would that be fucked up or what lmao
tlon was a part of the virgo prohibition, serving in the orbis tertius section of the vex network until it was put to use defending the black garden, where it encountered a freshly-risen guardian, whose foolish ghost had decided to resurrect them amidst a vex presence. tlon fought with the clumsy guardian, somehow having an upper hand even as a lowly goblin, simply because the guardian was confused and had no weapons. in what can only be described as a huge fucking mess, a wounded tlon managed to pull the guardian's exo head clean off its shoulders, and then simply stared at the mess it made, unsure if it would be able to resurrect without it. the guardian's ghost, curious as well, asked tlon if it knew what would happen if a guardian had a vex head. tlon, wanting to know the answer, unable to find it within the vex hivemind, simply pulled off its own head, and grafted it to the exo's body. in doing so, tlon kept bleeding from its mind core, and wound up dying before it could know what could happen. the ghost resurrected their guardian, and wound up resurrecting tlon, whose consciousness was now embedded in the exo's body, instead of its dead vex corpse.
the ghost, uqbar by name, knew that this heinous amalgamation would never be welcomed in the last city, especially not with asher mir running around whining about his arm, so for the next few years, the pair simply traversed the system in secret, seeing what they wanted, and doing as they wished.
wanting to investigate the newly-discovered lucent hive, the pair journeyed to the throne world, only to meet a charming lucent acolyte named turtle, and their ghost, dove. the quad became friends, not really sure if they were supposed to kill each other or not.
tlon and uqbar are still in the throne world, minding their own business, and occasionally looting armor from dead guardians.
