Samarynth is an apathetic amphithere that rarely shows heavy interest or emotion in anything, except when he’s showing affection to those he likes and appreciates in which case he’ll be slightly over the top and energetic in his actions. The one thing that he almost never feels is anger as he doesn’t see a reason to be angry or heavily upset at others or in situations. Aside from his emotions, Samarynth is highly resourceful and can come up with all sorts of creative solutions to things – even if he doesn’t show much interest in what he’s doing.

While waiting for his wedding day to arrive, Samarynth lives in the Hall of Bone where he is treated with utmost respect by Gulassyd’s servants and closest guardians. He enjoys the spoils of a large, circular room with a dome-like window that reveals the rest of the sprawling city. The cold, marble floor has a central rug that is made with some of the finest fibers and contains beautiful rainbow colors just as he does, and his round mattress is a bright white with dark black posts connecting to its frame. He has quite a few pillows shaped like jaguars, tapirs, and caiman to remind him of home and so that he can snuggle up with them on particularly cold nights.

Around his large room are various golden artefacts that also remind him of his home – treasures his family left him with upon departing to Izar. Most are small statues of dragons or jungle creatures with emerald eyes carved into their gold sockets that glitter when the moon shines on them. He has a large, bronze desk where he likes to sit and ponder his life, most often falling asleep here as his mind begins to drift further and further away. Large, draping pieces of decorated fabrics hang from his ceilings too, all with the golden embroidery of his family crest sewed onto them. He always gets caught up and entangled in them as he can never see them.

Being a prince, Samarynth was dragged through intensive private schooling and had his own personal tutor that helped him retain high grades and with understanding how his family system worked and future problems that he’d have to attend to. During his teenage years he suffered an attack from a caiman that managed to clamp down on his face while he was playing in the river, causing him to lose his sight and needing more assistance with learning. Despite being blind, Samarynth stayed positive and still found studying to be quite enjoyable.

Samarynth doesn’t have a definite job other than being a prince from his home world and looking for a queen or king to continue his family’s reign. Currently, he is in Izar waiting to get married to Shandre so that they can return to his home world and take over the throne.
