Nova Opal is your everyday human- no superpowers, no secret abilities, just an average person. The mundanity of day-to-day life left them desiring something more, however. This, alongside an insatiable sense of curiosity, has lead them to investigating the weird and the paranormal in their spare time. They aren't actually a believer in the supernatural events they study, or at least not until it happens to them.

While open to negotiating with entities for information, they are generally wary around most nonhuman beings. They attempt to avoid any malevolent creatures, but may find themselves too intrigued to yield warning signs.
