Backstory:

Hyde, as a child, had always been interested in a lot of things. But the one that stuck the most with him is flying planes, it made sense considering his father is a retired naval aviator. Additionally, his older sister followed suit, and they were the two people he looked up to in terms of career choice. His mother wasn't as exciting as his father or older sister, but he held her with utmost regard. The one who taught him everything that needs to be known in household work, to have manners, to love and appreciate everything and everyone. It was cheesy, sure, but the boy couldn't have it any other way. This molded him into the man he is now. Kind of. Hangman in school was very popular at the time; a cocky jock with a flair for riling up people to the umpteenth degree, a far cry from who he was as a kid. While he had some common decency intact, the guy usually went from teasing to viciously jabbing onto someone's weak spots for the fun of it. But he would go so far as physical violence, he honestly didn't have the heart to. So he wasn't exactly feared by those outside of his circle, just incredibly annoyed at but was reliable enough that Hyde didn't get in too much trouble. He formed friendships and broke a few, got into a few relationships and messy breakups, not a lot of people genuinely stuck around due to his being just a little too much to be around; obnoxious at worst. But to those that stuck around back in his ROTC days, he still had contact with and is surprisingly close to. Somewhat. One of them seemed to have been sent off somewhere and he never found them again. Overall, he had a normal life really.

It was when he graduated from college that all went a little downhill.

The second he was at the right age, Hyde decided to jump in the gun of becoming a pilot. This sparked a heated debate wherein his sister wanted to keep him safe from the high risks that came with the job. She had seen her fellow pilots go down and dead, and she didn't want him to end up dead on the news. However, the man was still firm with the decision and was pretty insistent with choosing that path. This caused a huge rift in their relationship and it reached to the point where he wasn't able to apologize the second she was deployed to another region for a high risk mission of which she never came back home to. Under those circumstances, he would've been driven away from continuing his dream. But no, this pushed him even further beyond to where he is now. He was still the cocky bastard he was back in high school, the one who can walk the talk. Just.. A bit mellowed down is all. He made several attempts to climb to the ladder, got knocked out a bunch of times before sitting as one of the best as of right now; now possessing the callsign "Hangman" for his take-no-prisoners attitude when it comes to being on air. Eventually, he was assigned to Shinjo of which he was slightly hesitant to do, remembering his sister's words and not wanting to arrive home as a dead man. But he pushed that down, and accepted the transfer with the promise of constant communication.

During his stay in Shinjo, Hyde encountered a mysterious woman whom he had met a week after his arrival. Initially irritated by the Gardechoke's attitude, he was constantly being thrown out by her every time he tried to talk to him. Apparently to Hyde, that was endearing enough for him to come back to try and talk to her some more. Overtime, she started to let her guard down as more conversations started sparking which in turn, blossomed into friendship. It wasn't until after his last mission about nearly an entire year later that the two decided to take it to the next level with a promise of protecting and loving her as much as she protects and loves him. That being said, a new chapter seemed to have turned as familiar faces have resurfaced into his life. He knew that one of his friends became the CEO of a hospital, they were close with one another. But only now he was made aware that one was a butler to one of the multi-generationed families in the region, one who became the president of an entertainment company, and the last one.. Well, to be quite honest, he had a few words that he needed to say to him as he didn't really expect for his old friend to turn out like that. Either way, he was at least glad they were doing somewhat well off when the rest of them parted ways.
