a once prosperous and adored angel who was cast from paradise for attempting exploit his power in order to avoid personal labour - after having the majority of his power stripped, phaest was cast down to the underworld with the punishment of having to work for a pactbreaking agency tracking down people like him who attempt to twist fate and power in their favour

phaest is incredibly pissed off how good he is as the lead investigator of the agency- finding and researching *who* is doing the pactbreaking, rather than directly tracking or capturing them 

is incredibly snide towards abyssal beings, thinking hes above them for being an (albeit fallen) angel... this attitude quickly clashed with vales inherent sympathy towards those like daemself, and a resentful relationship quickly formed; never a moment without insults, ill-mannered teasing, physical intimidation, and what can only be called contemptuous flirtation between them - theyd kill each other if they had the ability to die, honestly
