Personality

Maritime has a gentle and adventurous free spirit. She feels held down by society and would rather be alone doing her own thing. She feels so strongly about her hatred for society that she travels the world, never staying in the same place for long and preferring to travel to obscure, uninhabited locations.

Background

Maritime grew up in an unsupportive family who wanted her to fit in, ignoring and punishing her desire to stand out. This caused her to run away from home many times in her childhood, and eventually, she just never came back. However, needing money for her travels, Maritime found her way to Blanche, who promised her the ability to travel and a high salary to work for her fur company. Blanche soon became Maritime's trusted friend as they traveled together, but the longer Maritime worked for Blanche, she realized that Blanche was actually quite cruel, despite her friendly facade having never wavered in her treatment of Maritime. But Maritime finally decided enough was enough when she found the true nature of Blanche's company, murdering innocent people and animals for their furs. During her next assignment to travel to an uninhabited island to scout for a particular novatt rumored to have a valuable and unique pelt, she faked her death and began to live on the island, later meeting and dating Carmen, the very novatt she was tasked to hunt down. 15 years later, however, Blanche discovered that Maritime was not dead, and now hunts both  her and Carmen in revenge.
