Backstory

Sterling Edwin was first introduced to the party when hosting a lavish party, inviting Toben Kèovè's parents, The Duke and The Duchess of Dewhollow. After claiming to be Toben's new uncle, Sterling followed the party into the Feywild to the Unseelie court, which had been taken over by vampires. After a while of exploring, the hunger overtakes him, and he begs for someone to help him. Novak offers herself, reassuring him that it would be fine. However, the count's starvation ends up being his downfall, as he accidentally drains the tiefling, turning her into a vampire like himself. || After this, he takes her in as his daughter, adopting her and deciding to try to raise her as best he can for a grown woman. He continues to travel with the party, only to find out that it was his two sisters that overtook the Unseelie court, killing everyone that resided there. He fled while the party took care of them, despite the difficult fight. The party killed them both and saved Toby's sisters, and Sterling reunited with them. As they were leaving kicked out one of the lights in their ritual, scowling at it. || Afterwards, the party continued on their journey, and at their stay in Prince Florian's mansion, he receives news that he has a biological daughter back in the material plane. He and the party have a brief (and slightly heated) encounter, before he finally takes his leave and heads home. || The party then encounters him again when they return to the material plane, where he's hosting a pool party at his mansion. There, they meet his daughter, who ends up to be one Malachai Amaris.
