'Anapa' is another name for Anubis. The H comes from Hermes+Anubis, when the two cultures' mythologies were entwined, and these two beings were one in some instances. Also. Treat him nicely, please.

Intro: Hanapa may look tall and intimidating, but he is actually a very kind, if stoic, soul. He finds it fulfilling and wonderful to help those who ask for his aid, and does his best. Also takes his priestly duties very seriously, and it pains him when other nonhumans scorn him...he doesn't fully understand why, but might just be in denial.

Notes:
-Drinks way too much black tea. (Where is he exporting this from in a desert city?!)
-Will purchase slaves that look like they fit well into the priest castes of the city from slavers, thus freeing them. He sadly cannot afford to buy and fit everyone of them into protected roles.
-It pains him to see such vileness, and it really conflicts with his personal beliefs. (Pounded into him by his caste upbringing, religion, and humans)
-Rather brainwashed.
-Very kind and caring however, and works very hard as the priest to welcome everyone who visits.
-Reads other subjects not related to Anubis and Egypt, such as stories about the fascinating oceans, but he is unknowingly restricted in what he is allowed to learn.
-Once in a blue moon, feels a desire to explore the world beyond the temple and Memphis, such as the oceans and forests he reads about. But extremely devoted to his priestly duty so rarely gives it more than a brief thought.
-Sometimes handmakes treats to hand out to children. Simple cookies and the like.
-Has a lovely deep and rich voice, very nice to listen to when talking or singing.

Abilities:
Magnetic - Not as in manipulating metal and the like, but as in, a charistmatic allure. People want to listen to him, and are soothed by his words and actions. They feel safe around him, and are drawn in by his words and presence. Hanapa himself is not fully aware of this ability, and thinks he just speaks to the people very well, which is true, but his ability gives his charisma extra oomph.

-Knows some hand-to-hand and staff usage, but as a priest, he is not expected to fight, it's mostly for ceremonial purposes.

Backstory: Hanapa was taken away from his family when born, due to looking like a perfect representation of the humans's cherished god Anubis. Since then, he had been raised as part of the priest caste and is held in high esteem and regard. He grew up believing whole-heartedly in humans and his religion and followers, and wanted everyone to be happy. But in recent years, he cannot deny all the 'sin' he sees. The enslavement of other nonhumans he finds hard to understand. The occassional pettiness he spots in even his precious humans is troubling. It has become a quiet trouble for him.
