[🍃] Benson

Benson is a broad cat of average height and has the classic tailless trait of a manx cat. They have partial heterochromia eyes, splitting their left eye into both green and blue, whislt their right remains green.

Their pelt is mostly dark grey, but has red tabby patches, along with cream and white splodges which are especially distinct on their face.

Benson is born in the RoseNest. Their parents aren't very attached to their litter and spend a lot of time away. Instead, Benson finds themselves mostly in the care of another RoseNest family, an incredibly large one full of fiesty and protective cats! They're loving and make for great company. Benson particuarly befriends a munchkin tom, a few moons older than themselves, named Milo.

As Benson grows, they begin training to find their place in the RoseNest community. Despite being born without a tail, Benson finds they have long since adapted to any troubles it might have brought, and can balance perfectly well! Benson turns into a very successful Tree Jumper, and enjoys getting into high places to scout and hunt.

Though Benson isn't very fond of the two-leg place, they do visit from time to time to take a look around. Benson learns how much Milo has taken to roaming the two-leg streets, and has even found himself a new name; Ogre!

Many moons pass, and Benson has quite a nice life, and surrounds themselves with companions that they like. Benson talks to their parents on occasion, but they all seem to know their relationship is best enjoyed at a distance.

Benson discovers their parents are pregnant again, and worries how they'll treat the new upcoming litter. Before long, the new arrival is here! It's a litter of one, and the bright calico kitten is named Clash! Benson is quickly enamoured and is all over Clash. As they worried however, Benson's parents are distant again. Benson doesn't really mind however, and is quick to fill in Clash's parental role.

Benson loves spending time with Clash, and playing with them and going on the occasional adventure with them. Benson learns quickly they're quite opposite, with Clash being so high energy, but it doesn't hinder their relationship at all, and Benson is Clash's best friend.

Clash's parents not taking much interest in her is badly effecting her, especially seeing as when they do talk to Clash, they mostly keep conversation on themselves, and it feels like a lot of what they do say is negative. Benson tries to support Clash, and tell her they're being silly. Benson also explains to their parents how what they're doing in hurting Clash, and that they need to change.

More time passes, and things don't get better. Frustrated, Benson tries looking for alternatives. They hear from Ogre that there is going to be a journey to the Clans, and that some cats will most likely move in and stay! Benson thinks this is a good idea, and thinks the structure around Clan life and a move would help Clash.

After explaining their ideas to her, Clash is on board, and seems incredibly excited to go live someplace new! Benson is relieved and the two travel together.

After arriving in the territories, Benson and Clash take their time getting to know each clan, and after many days, have a serious talk about where they would like to stay. After discussing it, they are both keen to join Leafclan! Benson is glad, and thinks they'll both enjoy life in the trees once again.

Benson tells Shiningstar and the deputies that they and Clash have chosen to join Leafclan. They are accepted but neither of them take clan names, Benson is also happy to see Ogre - now named Ogreshout - thriving in the clan along with them.

Clash begins her warrior training as an apprentice, and Benson gets in routine, working hard and trying to set an example for Clash, as well as learn as much as they can to share with her when they spend time together again.
