Profile
Kajura has very unique anatomy, including an extended unhinged jaw. It is difficult to keep the jaw closed on its own, so Kajura is occasionally seen wearing a red band around its neck to keep its jaw closed. The inside of its mouth is purple in both palettes.
Its "normal" eyes are always closed except in very specific circumstances. The eye in the center is socketed in the head and is always open. It can look around.
The front side of Kajura's body is mostly blue while the backside is mostly yellow. Kajura's body has no bones and is completely hollow. Anatomy shown is mostly a suggestion, and I encourage artists to have fun with kai.
These "wings" are actually oddly shaped hands, complete with a full set of fingers. The fingers are dexterous and can manipulate objects as well as hold them. The second, smaller set of wings are just normal wings and do not have movable fingers.
The 6 eyes are floating and can move anywhere around the body. They are often looking in different directions and can appear to have a mind of their own.
Kajura's tail is long and somewhat prehensile. It helps it steer in flight and can grip branches for balance. It has 8 spines at the end and is tipped with a sharp claw. Its tail can be drawn up to 2x longer than kai's body.
Being on the 2 extremes in terms of height, these fox's friendship is somewhat unique. Mulberry is only about the size of Kajura's head. They enjoy flying together and birdwatching. Both are more animal-like than person-like and are often seen playing together. Kajura uses kais wings to shield Mulberry from the rain. Kajura finds the bell-like noise Mulberry makes to be soothing.
Kajura thinks Cirrus is incredibly knowledgable about the weather and it is fascinated with Cirrus's stories. They both are very relaxed, go-with-the-flow personalities. Kajura challenges itself to fly as quick as it can to the high mountaintops where Cirrus frequents. Kajura sometimes follows Cirrus when she goes weather-chasing, although Kajura doesn't really understand what is going on and is just happy to fly with kais friend. Kajura wants to learn to make cloud art like Cirrus.
