He prefers being solo as he doesn't have that many friends, he either scared them away by his intimidating aura or he just doesn't know to to make one.

But has an unwavering loyalty to his allies. (Or friends if he has one...) However, he tends to keep his own vulnerabilities and weaknesses, always presenting himself as an unshakeable pillar of strength. He doesn't want anyone to worry about him or feel burdened by his struggles.
