CHILDHOOD
She was born as a human into a northern village. She was social, funny and to adults, a menace. She lived a normal childhood up until the age of 12, where she discovered her unusual appearance and tolerance yet dislike for the cold were because she had fire-controlling powers; specifically blue fire, the hottest kind. She barely knew how to use them at first.
Age 12 - She had always been a show-off, and loved attention: so she trained for a while before deciding to show it to everyone. The kids loved it, yet adults were in shock, including her parents. It was all over town. All children, even some teens, admired it. Adults, the opposite. Soon after her 13th birthday, strangers broke into her house as her parents were absent and attempted to take her. They couldn’t fight much against her powers, which almost set the house on fire, so they knocked her out using violent advanced technology and took her. She woke up in an unknown place: she figured it was a prison. She had a uniform on and had iron anklets on her legs that weakened her powers drastically. Rage took over her; yelling and attempting to break down the walls and bars. This was to no avail and she only hurt herself.
GROWING UP
For ten months, all she did was isolate herself and not talk to the other prisoners during any daily social events. She would spend all nights sobbing quietly, having rage fits and punching herself or the walls; most who approached her ended up having her angered after doing the littlest thing. This made them stop trying, resulting in extreme loneliness for Syv. She was all alone and blamed herself, spiraling down into an endless pit of self-hatred; she despised everything about her, yet didn't try to change it. All she would do was punish herself through twisted methods. During the last two months of that period, the unfriendly guards decided to pick one item to give to each inmate. Everyone liked their gifts, and when it was her turn, she was given a thick and big book treating all about space and astronomy. She was enraged at first. She was angry about how she’d gotten such a useless and boring gift. Eventually, she thought about how the book matched her pretty well. Useless, boring and wanted by nobody. She began to read it, shocked at how interesting it actually was. Over the two months, she learned so much and drew her knowledge to what she could see in the night sky, stargazing every night and finding peace in the unknown and the universe. With time her mood became much better. She still wasn’t happy at all and the remains of her anger issues stuck with her through occasional mood swings, but this time was different. She treated people around her properly, and this led into becoming well-known in the prison by the last month. She was acknowledged: she didn’t have many real friends, but countless acquaintances.
After those ten months, four more passed (during which she turned 15) as she socialized more and more. She had a newcomer thrown into her cell: after meeting, they got to know each other and shared their passions. She was named Faye and had chain controlling powers. They soon became a popular duo after a couple months, even though they really only had each other. They were known not only from Syv’s previous fame, but also because of their bold attitude toward guards. Faye was introverted and shy, yet didn’t hesitate to snap at the workers. Obviously, this had very violent consequences. A year slowly passed by. As it did, they became fed up with all the abuse and captivity. The two chose to escape. They brainstormed a plan that took months to plan out so nothing would go wrong. They broke out, and it surprisingly worked. Still, they had to endure a harsh and exhausting chase. All corners were checked and yet they managed to get away, making it to a different country in a few days, during which they had to do all sorts of sacrifices to escape the dozens of people that were after them.
POST-CAPTIVITY
In their shelters they would spar and get themselves food at stores undercover. The sparring was passionate and they learned quickly, becoming strong with their powers. They had to move every month. A year later, they’d become very strong and smart, and had also dug deep into their interests. And yet, Syv felt like she didn’t belong. She didn’t mind the stealing and all, but she couldn’t live a life of being chased. Faye was fine with it. One day, Syvne had a dream the night after finding a strange necklace. The dream was ambiguous, yet it clearly preached: ‘find the portal, escape time.’ She went on an eager journey off of other clues. Faye wasn’t excited about it. She had no interest in whatever Syv was trying to do or find. Still she accompanied her and eventually they found an underground gate that led to a narrow tunnel. Following it, they found a cabinet with some old papers scribbled with glowing text, and a complex puzzle. After reading, they figured that once completed, it would open what would be a magical time ‘machine’ and reveal the thing that would make one individual control it. Syvne was excited, until they realized only those who had Syv’s necklace would be able to use it: and it was only one person. It also said that in exchange for control of this time machine which could go to any time and place, it wouldn’t be possible to return to this reality or keep one's powers. Syvne wanted to accept the deal, and Faye wasn’t that interested in such a thing. The problem was, as said, that they would be separated. After talking it out, they came to an agreement and after a sorrowful yet genuine goodbye, Syvne completed the puzzle and the massive portal was opened. The controlling necklace -a gem- appeared on her neck. After one last deep, long hug and some tears, Syvne waved and saw Faye for one last time before stepping into the machine. But it doesn’t end here. COMPLETED AND IN DEPTH STORY COMING SOON ;)
