Back when MMJ started her adventures as a magical girl, she foiled one of The Skeleton’s plans. Afterwards, he declared her his arch-nemesis.

Sam Mealton Kline worked as an underappreciated, overworked mailman of the underworld. Until one day he finally snapped- stealing a magical bowtie from Satan in order to live on the surface world. However- in the process, he lost all his flesh, and is became an angry possessed demon skeleton. Totally screwy, he accepted his fate, calling himself The Skeleton, and making it his job to fuck around with people and make them feel as terrible as he once did.
The Skeleton has immunity to all magic/energy-based attacks; ability to steal the skin of anyone and turn them into living skeletons for his armies; complete and total power over anything mail-related (cursing mailboxes so they spit out anything put in them, making boxes disappear, cursing envelopes so they can never be opened, etc); and a variety of dark/undead/fire-based offensive magic spells.
