The Administrator

"Wow, out of everyone on this planet, it had to be you that ended up in this wretched place. Sucks to be you!"

Name: Linus

Nickname(s): Linez, Two-Face (by a select few he's disinclined to kill)

Gender: Male

Pronouns: He/Him (main), Its/Its, They/Them

Sexuality: Sapiosexual Demiromantic (no gender preference)

Age: 27 (or so he says)

Height: 6'0"

Species: Anthro Cat

Theme Song: Cry Babies - Crystal Castles

Personality: Linus is a guy with a lot more to him than initially meets the eye, but you'd be hard pressed to actually get them to tell you something substantial about itself. He has this sorta "I'm too smart for you" air about them that becomes incredibly obvious whenever you're talking. You just kinda get the feeling that they're messing with you, or that it thinks you're so far beneath him, you're not even worth talking to but he'll do it anyways because he wants to see just how dumb you are. A lot of this is not only because Linus considers himself to be incredibly intelligent (and to be fair, he is), but also because they are one of the few administrators of The Facility. Because of this role, Linus is untouchable in more ways than one, and he knows it.

Speaking of The Facility, Linus is completely devoid of empathy and care for all things sentient. Running an operation that not only creates sapient life to be contained in hellish conditions and experimented on, but also kidnapping citizens with odd powers no matter their age, Linus has since lost any capacity to feel remorse for his actions. Blinded by the power his position affords him and too caught up in his own wealth to care, Linus has grown to take some sick satisfaction whenever The Facility successfully kidnaps someone and gets away with it. Little do the residents of Dorizus know, he has the entire planet in the palm of his hand. The vast amount of the police force and a nonsignificant amount of politicians all take orders from him first and foremost, so it knows the possibility of it facing consequences for his crimes are slim to none. It would take an outside force to bring them down, but Linus knows that'll only happen if word gets out, and they will do everything in their power to prevent that from happening.

Abilities: Linus is actually part robot, most of which is his own creation. He wanted to prove that it was possible for someone to replace their own limbs, so he did it. Easy-peasy. This may or may not have resulted in half of his fur changing color, but it's a necessary sacrifice, or so he says. No one knows if there may be any other side-effects to what he did, but if the uncertainty of it all ever keeps him up at night, he doesn't let on. Because of his robotic augments, Linus has an incredible pain tolerance and an uncanny sixth sense to identify danger. And though he was born without any powers, the improvements upon his flesh allow him to interact with high voltages of electricity without in curing and negative side effects. Though he is unable to control lightning and electricity like those born with natural magic, the mere ability to be electrocuted by all manners of equipment and come out unscathed is incredibly useful in his line of work.

Some would say that Linus's abilities would make it a valid candidate to be experimented on just like every other prisoner within The Facility. Those that do make the mistake of speaking such words aloud are never seen free again.

Backstory: Linus is... incredibly dodgy about his past. As far as he'd like the world to know, he just materialized out of nowhere and immediately became a big shot at The Facility. Though not its only owner, Linus is certainly known for being one of the most cruel and intelligent, and it's better for his reputation if no one knows what he was like as a kid. But, like it or not, Linus was young once too. He used to live on Earth, he used to have friends, he used to hug his parents at night and purr whenever they read him stories. He had a good childhood, full of all the opportunities and comfort that being an only child in an upper-middle class family could offer him. He was his parents pride and joy, and all of their resources went to him. When they learned that Linus was bright, incredibly intelligent for a child his age, they spent a fortune sending him to private school. Providing him with everything he could ever need to make it big in life.

Linus proved himself to be an incredibly skilled mathematician, engineer, and coder. Even in high school he was created robots with incredibly advanced AI, something that only those with years of experience under their belt were thought to be able to achieve. Scholarships practically fell into his hands, everyone begging for him to lend his intelligence for them to capitalize on. Linus's ego grew to be the size of the planet he lived on, and he cut himself off from everyone that had once cared for him. It didn't want them getting in his way, dragging him down from the glory that it was destined to achieve. His experiments started to become more unethical, with no regard for the sentient life that materialized out of his paws. Others took notice of his growing hubris, and started to avoid them, even as Linus's growing achievements brought more and more attention on to it. Eventually, the wrong (or right, depending on the way you look on it) organization finally took notice of them, and gave Linus an offer he couldn't refuse.

Linus started off as a well-paid scientist within The Facility, but quickly moved up in the ranks. He took the status quo by the throat and toppled the empire that had been there before him, claiming the job of Administrator as his own and completely ruining the one he'd taken it from. Not just mentally, but also physically, as he forced them to take the role of the experiments within The Facility. A horrid sort of irony in which the old Admin was forced to endure the many atrocities they had once subjected upon others.

Only time will tell if someday Linus will face the same comeuppance, but he'd sooner burn the world to the ground and take himself with it than face th consequences of his actions.

Family: None. He cut them all off the second he moved to the hellish planet he now calls home.

Other: Though he thinks AI and artificial life is lesser than him, he holds an immense respect for anyone able to create that sort of thing, even if he doesn't deem them to be as smart as him. He's a total hypocrite. Likes the game Portal and plays it in his off-time.
