He lives comfortably and proudly in [TBA], and if you hear the sounds of skateboards or manly screaming, it’s probably him.

Backstory

He claims he doesn’t remember much about his human life, but when asked, Nona said:
He grew up in [REDACTED] into a fairly standard loving family. From what he remembers, he was always into snowboarding, skiing, snow sports in general but boarding was his favorite. His family would take family trips pretty often to different ski resorts, where he had the most fun. He was born with a talent, and each time they went he honed it into a skill. He was a skilled kid, anybody watching could tell.

He ended up getting recruited while there one of his trips, and was training for the big leagues someday. A solid 10 or so years passed, and he was soon on his way for the olympics. But it wasn’t always gonna be smooth sailing for him. Being too confident, too wild ended up being the death of him. He ended up boarding down too far, past the borders, and got himself lost and too far deep into the snowy forests surrounding for miles. He didn’t last long with no food or water and ended up succumbing to hypothermia and cold shock not too long after, unprepared for the turn of events.

His body was never found, and the rest is history. … Or so they say.

He eventually woke up again, and found himself buried 6ft deep.. in snow. He clawed his way out, and found himself somewhere somewhat familiar. He walked and walked, until he came across something that looked different to all the trees in the area. It looked familiar, he couldn’t remember why - he couldn’t remember anything, but it was better than nothing, so he approached it.

Before he knew it, there was people screaming at the sight of him. He knew he literally just dug himself out of his own grave, but he couldn’t be that bad, right?

Well, he knew he probably looked bad - but not terrible. He stared bewildered as people were shocked, afraid, mortified at the sight of him. He didn’t understand until he managed to sneak a glance at himself in a nearby reflection --

Turns out he was frozen to the core.

The sight of his blue tinted skin, rotted eyes, his chapped lips - the terrible condition he was in, he used to be good looking, he -

He didn’t know what to do. So he screamed, and screamed.

And screamed some more.

Which lead to him getting his namesake, the banshee. The people surrounding the area couldn’t bear to hear his shrieks for much longer and fled the area. Those that stayed paid the price for it. They became nauseous, ears bled, ear drums shattered, some have lost their hearing as a result. They couldn’t stick around for long. He swore time was frozen, just like he was, while he stood there and shrieked his heart out.

When he was finally done, he felt like he was going to pass out. However, before he did, a human came back around to explore the area as the noise stopped. He approached him, warily, through a guarded stance, “What the fuck is your deal?”

So he explained his story, he didn’t really know who he was, what was happening, felt colder than he knew it really was outside, and all he wanted was to leave. To the stranger’s credit, he listened. (How often do you come across a screaming blue man?) As time passed, the two got to talk more and he was able to figure out what happened by putting together bits and pieces left by searching the internet for it. He found out he was dead - as if he didn’t already know.

He was so unbelievably cold, his vitals were non-existent, his heart was frozen harder than a rock, he had no pulse. But that didn’t matter. He knew who he was now.

He was [REDACTED]. Talented snowboarder, on his way to the Olympics, loved by friends and family alike, gone too soon.

He looked up info about his family, and lo and behold, they have been dead for years now, no surviving members besides distant relatives. He managed to out-live them all, even in death.

Knowing the fact wasn’t sad, he didn’t remember them anyway, so he moved on with his life. No use crying over spilt milk.

Forming a newfound camaraderie with the stranger, they managed to finagle him through airline security as a dead body, simply to be returned to his family. But in reality, he was busy reconnecting with various companies to claim life insurance for them (excluding his, already claimed) and various bank accounts he could have access to. It was nice, forgetting who you were, but not forgetting passwords. The works.

Not long after, he was able to feel the newfound warmth on his cold skin. Before saying their goodbyes, his new-found friend turned to him and asked, “You know, I never got your name?”, to which he grinned wide.

“It’s Nona Yabisnis.”

Or so, that’s how he tells the story. But know his tales are never to be trusted 100%.

Nona soon found himself working his way up into Lost Angel Wings, creating a schtick for himself - the ex-snowboarder, on summer mode. He now spent his time bumming off of new friends’ couches, entering skateboarding competitions to pay them back, and using his old money sparingly.

Eventually, he was able to build up a name for himself and soar to fame quickly - he stood out, who wouldn’t notice him? He was the only dead one for hell’s sake!

Before he knew it, years and years of living in the moment has passed, and he made a good living for himself. He lives comfortably and proudly in Bewarely Hills, and if you hear the sounds of skateboards or manly screaming, it’s probably him.
