He is a huli jing ghost who uses advantage of curiosity using his tails instead of regular seduction that normal huli jings use to lure people in so that he can suck life essence out of them. He gives himself a false name everytime he outlives 100 lives.
Hou Huijin is a selfish man with a short temper due to his old age and him giving up on caring for mortals because of his past. He thinks mortals should only be a source of life essence for him to absorb just so that he could stay young physically (he will never mention this out loud). He is also someone who dislikes being in the spotlight as to not make himself recognisable for people who may outlive longer than a hundred.Β
He has a soft spot for astrology and seeing the stars in the sky. A man who prefers the silence and company of one which is himself, sometimes he will allow passing creatures to lie and stargaze with him.
He resides in a palace surrounded by a moat that is hidden well in a cave using magic. The only way anyone is able to enter is for the resident to open the doorway to the entrance or if the other person has an equal amount of magic he has and accidentally opens it.
