Profile

Flamehorn kobolds are kobolds native to the Tezubon. Their species was enslaved by the draconics of Geist Rawri up until a few decades ago. While they are known to be as hospitable as other kobold races, they can also be quite secretive and vengeful. A flamehorn's hospitality comes with rules, and violating those rules resort in a streak of bad luck or being chopped up into bits by their signature flame cleaver. They're often called perrobolds by gatobolds.

Character creation notes
- Flamehorns have dog-like faces. Their fur patterns tend to resemble the fur patterns of canines and rodents.
- They can have the ears and tail of any canine and/or rodent
- They have short horns that are typically 6 inches or shorter.
- Their horns, tail, and eyes glow
- In very rare cases a flamehorn can be born with 2 tails.
- They'll always have a marking on their neck that resembles a bowtie, bolo tie, or necktie.
- They're always pleasantly warm.
- They tend to have a sibling rivalry style dynamic with gatobolds
- Their eyes, horns, and tails are the same colors. Them being different colors has the same rarity as heterochromia.

LitRPG Themed Skills:
- [Internal Hearthfire: Whenever a flamehorn uses a red magic* skill They recover hp equal to their level, and any allies within 5 feet of them do the same. This skill can only be used if a tier 1 kobold creature class is active.]
- Firewalk: Flamehorns can teleport to a fire with 15 feet of them without consuming mana as long as it's big enough for them to stand in.
- Invisibility: Like most kobolds, flamehorns can expend some of their mana to turn invisible. The invisibility wears off if they are injured, come into contact with another creature, make too much noise, or use magic.
- Burning Cleaver: Flamehorns can conjure a kitchen knife (typically a meat cleaver) made out of crystallized flames and lava. It functions the same way a normal knife would, but it dissipates within an hour. Attacks made with the sword deal physical, nonelemental damage and critical attacks inflict burn. It can also be used to cook food.
- Delayed Harm: When a flamehorn uses a skill that doesn't deal damage their next attack deals 1 extra red damage.
- Red magic affinity: Flamehorn kobolds have a natural affinity for red magic. This allows them to freely control fire and lava, using red skills consumes slightly less mana, and they are resistant to harmful effects from wild red magic.
- Red Cleave: Flamehorn kobolds can infuse a weapon or body part with their innate red mana to make an attack that deals physical red damage to 1 target within melee range. This skill has a low chance to inflict bleed if the flamehorn is using their burning cleaver.
- Red Shot: Flamehorn kobolds can throw a small fireball to attack foes with red magic from a safe distance.
*red magic = pyrokinesis

Flamehorn kobolds are an open species I'll be releasing into creative commons after I finish their full ref (I'll be using cc by 4.0). Until then feel free to make as many as you want and do with them as you please (as long as you credit me for the species). Designs that follow WoS lore might be eligible for some goodies in the future.
