Personality: Abbey is a shy young lady, preferring to keep close to her mother, particularly when there are strangers near. Of course, this likely has a great deal to do with the life she has led and the things she has seen at such a young age. If pushed too far, she might snap back, but how far that too far is, no one knows yet. She is capable of great kindness, however, and likes to help those few that she is in contact with.

History: The result of a rape, Abbey has traveled a great deal with her mother. She knows nothing about her father, except that he was a villain. The only real friends she has are her mother and the mare called Aiyoku, whom they briefly met and was so kind to mama. Unfortunately, not long thereafter, she and her mother were accosted by a Dark stag involved in slave trading and took both of them to a partner, Incarious, where the unfortunate daughter and mother lived for over a year, until the master died.

For what seemed a long time - though it was perhaps only a few months - they pair wandered, until by chance Abbey stumbled upon her grandmother, Bessy. Though she did not recognize the older mare, it was clear the then-gravid mare was in need of help and Abbey was quick to help, calling out for her mother, who would have a better idea of what to do in such a situation. Naturally, it came as a shock to learn she was blood kin to the mare she had been helping... and a sorrowful thing indeed when the mare passed away from complications in the birthing process.

So they returned to wandering, this time a trio, rather than a duo, with her little aunt, Candy. Then came the day they were attacked by a mountain lion. At first things seemed very grim, until a stallion intervened and drove the beast away. Abbey was nervous - she had no good memories of stallions at all in her life, short though it had been thus far - but her mother even more so, whilst Candy was merely curious. Camden was kind to them, however, and it was easier to calm down when the stallion's mother, Caiomhe, arrived on the scene. They were convinced to at least stay in the haven of Mount Vigilum and that has been where they spent the majority of their time. However, a second excursion brought them face to face with another cougar - or was it the same back to finish the job after failing the first time? Regardless, this time it was a young fellow by the name of Karson who intervened and sent the big cat packing.

It came as a bit of a surprise to Abbey when her mother opted at last to join Camden in his land of Bengalorrea, though in time she came to truly see the depth of love her mother had for the kind stallion. It was not an unpleasant change and Abbey was thrilled to see her mother so happy and at ease for the first time that she could remember. Even when Camden gave up ruling his own land in favour of moving to where his mother lived in Shadow Canyon, life seemed about as perfect as could be.

And then Camden -- along with multiple other members of his family -- vanished. To say this had a devastating effect on Abbey's mother would be an excessive understatement. The youthful maiden has focused her time and attention on being there for her mother ever since, rarely spending any time on herself.

Though she did manage to find a few moments out in the Free Lands that led to a reunion with their handsome young rescuer, Karson. Abbey cannot deny that she hopes to see him more often...
