"It's time I show you how to do REAL magic."

Harley Quetzal is a Meowscarada turned Mobian who is known as the Masquerading Wonder.

A long time ago, she got her start as a Sprigatito. She was fascinated by magicians. Then, when she evolved into a Floragato, things really started to pick up for her.

As a Floragato, she started learning how to fight, and then she used her new skills of fighting to help people around Paldea with fending off criminals. Around this time, she even gained a partner: Marrow the Zorua?

Her and Marrow traveled throughout Paldea along with Atlas the Armarouge and Cash the Ceruledge. During this time, Harley evolved into a Meowscarada. With this, she began mastering the art of magic. With help from Marrow, she became a well-known magician throughout Paldea, and her specialty involved playing cards.

However, one night, Marrow and Harley got into a heated argument. Marrow wanted to go back home to Crystalga where Chris and his other friends were, but Harley wanted him to stay. After Marrow left and ended the partnership, Harley grew spiteful.

Harley continued fighting crime and performing magic like she was going through the motions, but deep inside, her anger towards Marrow and his decision to leave grew. She began searching up anything about Crystalga, and it was then that she learned about the Silverwing Quill. 

Along the way, she decided to visit Mobius. She performed magic shows for the Freedom Fighters when morale hit an all-time low. She even befriended and gained a small crush on Antoine.

After that, she decided to visit Crystalga. She got to keep her Mobian form. While she was there, she met a new friend named Hop. The two formed a new partnership, and the two decided to pay Marrow a visit... a visit that would not only make him her enemy for life, but give Marrow a proper reason to defend the Silverwing Quill.

Trivia

• Harley Quetzal's name is a homage to Harley Quinn, the popular DC Comics anti-hero/villain. Her last name, "Quetzal", is a direct reference to the Guatemalan bird of the same name due to the similar color scheme between the bird itself and Harley.
• Harley's playing cards are unlimited, but she can only keep up to 2 cards active at a time. She can summon almost anything as long as the image fits on the card. However, she cannot control everything she summons, hence why she tends to stick to regular tools when using her cards.
• Harley's favorite hobby is magic, but she is also fond of gardening.
• Harley created the outfit and mask she wears herself.
