PERSONALITY
Oakflame is a fervent and ambitious tom, with a strong belief in the ideals he holds, and he can become overly heated when someone question one of the principles which define his morality; he is also extremely loyal to his clan and he defends the reputation of it with all his strength, as he is proud to call himself a warrior of Needleclan, and if anyone insults the name of it he will not just accept that without a reaction coming from him. Despite these tendencies that make him appear as a rather aggressive and intimidating tom, Oakflame is actually quite sensible and does care for his clanmates above everything, and would want nothing more than for them to live a good life.
And even if he does indeed like to spar and enjoys fighting enemies, he never liked wars, as they often end with severe consequences like death; he does have a severe disliking for Boneclan and Rogues, as he considers them to be violent and lawless beings that don’t deserve any respect from him, but the cats he would actually be ready to kill without remorse are very few. For the most he just wants them to stay away from his clan and friends, and he shows them openly his hostility by being vulgar in their regards, not having problems to show them how much he despises them.
In the end, when there isn’t anything that is agitating him, he is a surprisingly calm and social cat around his clanmates; and despite being considered a dangerous warrior among the clans, Oakflame has a soft spot for younger cats, loving to entertain any nipper of his clan with stories and to play with them. He is also more than happy helping trainees whenever they need anything, investing his time in it to make sure they understand everything they need, even if he can be a bit annoying when he insists on them showing proper respect to the ones older than themselves; he also firmly believes that trainees should never be on a battlefield, as they are way too young and inexperienced to throw away their life there, and there’s nothing that makes his blood boil more than an adult cat harming a trainee or even worse a kit, or them endangering their lives in any way.
Appearance
Description
Oakflame is a massive, broad-shouldered and extremely muscular tom. He has medium long fur of a reddish brown colour, with some other graduations of it along his tail and face, and dark brown markings. Also his tail tip, mane and underbelly are of a cream/beige colour. His eyes are crystal blue.
Scars & Disabilities
Oakflame has no known physical disabilities. He has a scar across his left eye, one on his muzzle and a couple on his legs; but the more noticeable ones are on his left shoulder and his lower flank.
History
Since he was a kit, Oakflame always wanted to become an honorable warrior who would bring glory to his clan and protect it from the evil that was outside their borders, motivated and inspired by the stories Foxburrow told him as he was in the nursery. And so, since the day he became a trainee under Boartooth, he worked extremely hard pushing himself to the limit to reach his goal; in the meantime his recklessness and courage caused him to be involved in many fights and arguments, leaving him with scars he is proud to wear.
After he became a warrior, it wasn’t long until he became an Honor Guard, bringing him to accomplish one of his major goals in life. But unfortunately the leader he was supposed to protect quickly turned out to be of questionable morals, taking many decisions which clashed with Oakflame’s principles and causing him to doubt what he should do, as he was torn between what he considered to be right and the decision the stars had taken; to worsen it all, it also caused him to have many arguments with his actual mate, who was Eaglestar’s disowned son who had suffered severely under the abuse of his father.
Things didn’t get better over time, and now the massive tom finds himself questioning if he still wants to keep aiming for what once was his dream, or if it would be better to give up on it; but even if his clanmates distrust and dislike him for being so near to Eaglestar, he still believes it’s the best way to somehow keep him from doing even more damage.

Oakflame utilizes Claw Style.
Oakflame is a direct fighter, who is well aware of his physical strength, to which he unites a mastery of the claw style. His strong and thick paws each have a set of razor sharp claws, which he keeps constantly in the best possible shape and ready for battle; his muscular strength united to them, and a well honed striking technique, makes it so that he can easily cut through even the thickest pelt.
He also has a relatively strong bite which he uses more rarely,but can use to keep his opponent from escaping and evading his hits after he latches on, to strike with his claws more effectively. In terms of defense he knows how to use his broader and more covered body parts to take hits, and has surprisingly fast reflexes for his body type when it comes to do that, but he rarely completely dodges an attack; he is capable of taking a grand quantity of blows before his body shows to suffer from them, and he himself has an incredibly high pain tolerance.
His greatest drawbacks are the fact that he isn’t someone to adapt to his enemy, mainly relying on his brute force, and the fact that his heavy size means he lacks agility and reaches his limits faster speaking in terms of stamina, even if he can go on decently long; he surely aims to end a fight as quickly as possible though, knowing that his strikes become slower the more he uses up his energy, and become less effective because of this.

Oakflame both holds deep respect for his mother and loves her dearly, being immensely grateful to her for the way she raised him and the happy family he could grow in, which he learned wasn’t as obvious as he once thought. One of the most important lessons she taught him was that even his enemies deserved to leave the battlefield alive, as they too had a family that waited for them to return home, and that revenge was something that would only cause more pain to everyone in a never ending cycle.
Her wisdom and life experiences helped directing his passionate and flaming nature to try help his clanmates, and she surely is the reason for his steadfast morality; Oakflame’s care for the younger ones and his dedication to their happiness is something that he got from his mother as well, as he thinks everyone needs to have someone that looks after them and they can trust into when they grow up.

Oakflame always cared deeply for Splinterburn, and this bond grew only stronger when the younger tom was taken in by his mother after he did lose his parents, as he saw him like a younger brother he had to look after. Despite his young age and the fact that Oakflame does often worry if he’s doing alright, the respect he has for Splinterburn is above what he has for most of his clanmates, considering everything he went through and how he handles it.
He is the greatest drive he has to his intent of bringing Needleclan to be again a place where everyone can live and grow up in peace, while he also tries to avoid an inner conflict that would bring pain to some of the younger cats by dividing them. If he manages to do this and could make Splinterburn’s world at least a little bit brighter, allowing him to at least that there is still some good, it would be worth all the pain and sacrifices he went through.
