Crystal the Hedgehog

Several years before Sonic was born, Crystal was created using science. She was made in a lab by Dr. Eggman to be a being capable of summoning crystals (such as ice from water, and on the more difficult aspect to do: making gems). Essentially, her intended purpose was to eventually be able to use the power of the chaos emeralds to clone the emeralds and/or make new, equally powerful gemstones and crystals.

Her powers have been a failure in Robotnik's eyes, but he hasn't given up on her completely; he let her roam free in the world once she had grown up in an attempt to enrich her living environment. Due to his distrust of anyone not a part of the Eggman Empire, he hired a fellow named Control the Coyote to keep an eye on her outside and keep her in check.

Control ended up being Crystal's best friend as time passed.

Also, fun fact! Crystal's gloves and shoes are of brown leather, but her ice/crystalization powers have turned part of them white!

Another fun fact! During her first time outside the Eggman base, Control took her to a clothing store, and this was during the month of June, and there was a section dedicated to RAINBOW CAPITALISM!! Lol. Yeah, Crystal couldn't help but BEG for those rainbow leggings. Eggman reluctantly agreed to let her keep wearing them... and Crystal quite literally is always wearing them, lol.
