Profile

Character: Ava White

Age: 17

Species: Human

Fandom: Transformers/Power Rangers

Ranger Designation: Pink Ranger (later, potentially, White Ranger)

Affiliation: Autobots, Power Rangers

Character, Motivation, and Goal:

  • Character: Ava presents a facade of conformity: obedient, studious, and quiet. This is a learned behavior, a defense mechanism built to survive under the oppressive control of her rigidly traditional parents. Underneath, however, is a sharp intellect, a passionate heart, and a deep yearning for freedom and self-expression. She feels stifled, unseen, and undervalued for who she truly is.
  • Motivation: Initially, Ava's motivation is survival – to endure her parents' expectations and avoid conflict. However, her experiences as a Power Ranger and interaction with the Autobots ignite a desire for genuine self-discovery and the freedom to choose her own path.
  • Goal: Ava's primary goal is to break free from the constraints of her upbringing and embrace her true self. This includes developing her intellect without fear, expressing her individuality, fighting for justice, and finding a place where she truly belongs. She also wants to protect those she cares about, especially her friends and loved ones.

Significant Events:

  • The Discovery: Ava Accidentally stumbles upon the Autobots while they are covertly engaging in a Decepticon scouting party near her town after school one day, knowing exactly who they are (thanks to her friend and leader Neo). Her quick thinking and analytical skills inadvertently help Ratchet repair a crucial piece of equipment, bringing her to the attention of both factions.. She didn't mean to come across them but she glad she did for Neo's sake
  • Becoming the Pink Ranger: Because of her association with Neo, she  alongside Tommy, Zen, and Gloria (later Travis joining the team) form a team of veteran rangers. Deciding to help Neo out to reunite with her family. Becoming the team's Pink Ranger. Everyone Choose their colors due to experience in that set of powers, Neo being the Red Ranger, Zen being the Blue Ranger, Gloria being the Yellow, Tommy switches between all his ranger powers, but usually landing on his Green/Black abilities, Ava before anything was set in stone blurted out calling dibs on being the pink ranger. Everyone automatically agreed while giving soft laughter at this.
  • The Parental Crackdown: Ava's parents begin to suspect something is amiss as her grades slip, her clothes become inexplicably dirty, and she starts spending unusual amounts of time with a "study group" they disapprove of (Neo,Tommy, Zen, Gloria, and Travis). They increase their control, forbidding her from going out except for school and monitoring her activities closely. They blame her friends for her change in behavior.
  • The Breaking Point: A climactic battle against a particularly devastating Decepticon/Rita Repulsa alliance forces Ava to choose between saving lives and obeying her parents. She defies their restrictions to aid her friends, leading to a major confrontation. Her parents disown her, saying they can not approve of a life of what they consider violence and lying. Ava is left feeling hurt, but also strangely free.
  • Zen's Revelation: During a particularly vulnerable moment, Ava lashes out at Zen, frustrated by his seemingly carefree demeanor and his attempts to help her. In response, Zen reveals that he and Gloria are from a desolate future ravaged by war, and he chooses to be optimistic and helpful because if he isn't, who will be? This forces Ava to confront her own cynicism and recognize her potential to make a positive impact.
  • The White Ranger Surge (Potential Future Event): If she becomes one: Her parents breaking their ties with her, and her hidden potential being unlocked by Tommy and the others,  may lead into her being granted the powers of the White Ranger. While powerful, the connection to this power is erratic and aggressive, making her a liability at times because of her hidden feelings.

Relationships:

  • Tommy Oliver (Mentor): Tommy sees Ava's potential early on and encourages her to embrace her intelligence and use it for good. He acts as a mentor, guiding her through the challenges of being a Power Ranger and helping her gain confidence. He also provides a safe space where she can be herself without judgment.
  • Neo Pax Prime: A young Autobot around her age she enjoys sparring and trading ideas with. She helps him understand the nuances of human emotions and culture, while she offers her a different perspective on the universe and the importance of fighting for what's right. They develop a close bond built on mutual respect and shared ideals.
  • Zen and Gloria Morphet: Initially, Ava views Zen as naive and Gloria as overly chaotic. However, after learning about their past, she gains a deeper understanding of their perspectives and comes to appreciate their resilience and unwavering hope. Zen, in particular, becomes a source of inspiration, challenging her to embrace optimism and take responsibility for shaping her own destiny.
  • Travis: Maybe at first Ava sees Travis as someone she competes with for Mentor Tommy's approval/mentorship. At first it was just her, but now she has an opponent. Someone who is taking everything in so fast...faster than she adapted. Maybe she starts feeling inadequate with him starting out with them, even if she wont say anything. Ava was comfortable with the friends she had. A close knit unit. Then travis comes along and she doesnt know how to feel about it, especially aince he is taking Ranger duties so well, and so fast. Envy. That's what she feels. Jealous envy And once she gets denounces her parents grip on her, her true power as a Ranger is able to come through because she isnt holding it back
  • Autobots (Ratchet, Arcee, Smokescreen, Jazz): Ava respects the Autobots' dedication to protecting humanity and their willingness to work alongside her. She forms strong bonds with Ratchet, admiring his intelligence and skill as a medic; Arcee, finding inspiration in her strength and independence; Smokescreen, appreciating his enthusiasm and sense of humor; and Jazz, valuing his cool demeanor and strategic mind.
  • Parents: A strained and increasingly volatile relationship. Driven by tradition and control, they disapprove of Ava's interests and friends, leading to constant conflict and ultimately culminating in a painful separation.

Growth and Change:

  • From Conformity to Rebellion: Ava begins her journey as a quiet, obedient girl, but her experiences as a Power Ranger and her interactions with the Autobots and her friends ignite a rebellious spark. She gradually sheds her facade of conformity and embraces her true self, learning to stand up for what she believes in.
  • From Fear to Courage: Ava's initial fear of ridicule and judgment prevents her from expressing her intelligence and individuality. However, through her experiences as a Power Ranger and the support of her friends, she gains confidence and courage, learning to embrace her strengths and overcome her insecurities.
  • From Cynicism to Hope: Ava's restrictive upbringing and the pressures she faces lead to a degree of cynicism. However, Zen's revelation and her own experiences fighting for justice inspire her to embrace hope and believe in the possibility of a better future.
  • From Isolation to Connection: Ava's initial isolation stems from her fear of judgment and her inability to connect with others on a genuine level. However, through her friendships with Tommy, Neo, Zen, Gloria, Travis and the Autobots, she learns the value of connection and the importance of surrounding herself with people who support and understand her.

Possible White Ranger Arc:

If Ava were to become the White Ranger, it would be a complex and potentially dark development.

  • Unleashing the Beast: The White Ranger power could tap into Ava's repressed anger and frustration, granting her incredible strength and agility but also making her more aggressive and unpredictable.
  • Control vs. Chaos: Ava would struggle to control the White Ranger's power, constantly battling her darker impulses and trying to maintain her sense of self. This could lead to internal conflict and moments of reckless behavior, endangering herself and her friends.
Finding Balance: Ultimately, Ava would need to confront her inner demons and learn to channel her anger and frustration in a constructive way. This could involve seeking guidance from Tommy, Zen, or even a wise Autobot like Optimus Prime.
