Kopp, is the captain of the Doors Police Force encountered by the party during the goblin invasion of Doors. He wields a lance, longsword, and a commanding voice. He has directly fought alongside the party on a few occasions.

Appearance

Kopp is a tall, burly, and muscular man. His face is marked with numerous scars from past battles. His brown hair is just beginning to gray and thin. He normally wears plate armor while in battle. He prefers to fight with a lance, but also carries a longsword and pair of daggers in case of a close-range fight.

Personality

Kopp is the fearless leader of the Doors Police Force. He is incredibly loud and boisterous. He is a hard-drinker and an incorrigible gambler. He does not back down from any challenge, whether it be an arm wrestle, a drinking contest, or a duel to the death. 

Background

Kopp served in Nevernight's army for over twenty years. He actually holds a Knight's title, meaning that he is of the lowest class of nobility. 

Campaign

Kopp was encountered by the party while he was eating dinner with Kryz, Hargreaves, and Fredianelli in the Yoko Inn. The party, with the aid of the conman Emerson, convinced Kopp that Doors was about to be invaded by goblins from the south. Kopp ordered all the Doors guards to arms and climbed atop his horse, Muffin. Alongside the party, Kopp repelled the first line of attack, a combination of goblin druids, worgs, human wizards, and hobgoblins.

After the first wave, Kopp and Abe discussed their battle plans, unaware that Naeris was eavesdropping on them by way of lip reading. Kopp fought in the final battle, emerging victorious alongside his comrades. After the battle, he informed the party that several soldiers from Nevernight were looking for them. He also took the liberty of arresting and interrogating the bugbear leader Haynes. His method of interrogation is rather unusual, with him and Haynes appearing to simply take turns punching the other in the face.

Later, during a routine prisoner exchange, he was ambushed by the remnants of the goblin army, led by the druid Cherni. He was very nearly killed, but managed to defend both himself and Palladium long enough for the party to intervene and save his life.

Kopp would later participate in the arm wrestling tournament organized by the party. He would defeat his Co-Captain Abe in the first round, and the barmaid Titania in the second. He was scheduled to face Max and Bronson in the finals, but had to drop out due to injuring his shoulder.

Relationships

Emerson- Kopp is shown to be close friends with and deeply trust Emerson. Despite Emerson's many scams and get-rich-quick schemes, Kopp believed Emerson when he told him about the impending goblin invasion.

Abe, Kryz, and Hargreaves- Kopp's fellow soldiers.

Titania- The strongest barmaid of the Yoko Inn. Kopp defeated her during the arm wrestling competition, but had to drop out due to injuring his shoulder. He appears to have developed a crush on her.

Haynes- The commander behind the goblin invasion of doors. He was captured and arrested follwing the fight. Prior to his death, he and Kopp managed to develop a mutual respect and understanding through fisticuffs.
