EARLY LIFE

Miguel is one of the twins born to the King and Queen of Ereria. He doesn’t recall anything peculiar about his early childhood as he mainly stuck to exploring the castle grounds and playing with Zaria or Edna. He and his sister both attended a public school despite their royal status, which is where Miguel can start recalling key events. Miguel immediately was not a fan of school. Being such a high profile individual made him a target of attention, both good and bad. It seemed he could never win, either only being referred as part of the Royal Family rather than his own person, or being picked on by kids who were jealous of his standing or simply thought that the rich kid was “weird”. Zaria seemed to handle the teasing much better, as she quickly learned to laugh off the remarks and was even brave enough to stand up for her brother. Not that this helped much, as Miguel had already grown disillusioned with his peers and never grew close with anyone besides Edna - another jaded social outcast. Miguel was also not a fan of the constant attention he would receive due to his royal status. Everyday he would have to stop and greet excited civilians or answer a handful of questions - And those were considered good days for him. He learned very quickly that the general public viewed him less as a person and more so as an icon for the kingdom, so therefore he was quick to be criticized for his every move. The image of a perfect ruler with no flaws was constantly compared to him, which made his self-esteem hit the gutter during his teen years. He prefers not to think about that period of his life.

ON THE RUN

When an influx of violent threats were sent towards the Royal Family, King Malik quickly took action to ensure that his family would be kept safe. The biggest change would be the hiring of two bodyguards to escort the twins whenever they left the castle grounds. Felix was the guard assigned to Miguel and despite his best efforts, Miguel could not stand having him around. He thought of him as “superficial” and “too perfect”. Felix stayed persistent however, and Miguel would soon grow to enjoy spending time with him, even though he would never admit it. Everything would crumble when dozens of assassins were sent to the castle with the intent of kidnapping the King and Queen, leaving everyone else dead. Felix was in fact a member of this group, but in a heat of the moment decision, he shot and killed his fellow bodyguard before he could shoot Miguel. Fearing the consequences from either side, Felix took off into the night. The King and Queen were indeed kidnapped, but there were many survivors, including the twins. With his parents taken hostage and the man he had grown a liking to disappearing after saving his life, Miguel took off on his horse with hopes of finding Felix. He did end up finding an injured Felix in the forest, and the two began travelling to the neighbouring kingdom in order to save the King and Queen. The two grew even closer on their travels to the point of eventually having romantic feelings for one another, promising that they would stay together throughout the dangerous mission which lay ahead.

VOUGA BLOOD (WIP)

It was during this mission that Miguel discovered his hidden strength stemming from his blood. The Fraise bloodline had been cursed generations ago by a witch who was angry with the family for their corrupt actions. While the later generations of the family have since done what they could to make up for the past, the curse remained present in at least one family member at a time. As the previous bearer of the curse (Miguel’s uncle) had died before he was born, the cursed blood laid dormant until it finally awoken. The curse grants it’s user beast-like strength as well as the very real possibility of forever going mad with uncontrollable rage, hence why it is so dangerous. Miguel ends up being one of the lucky ones who learns to manage this power, but needless to say the process was incredibly painful during an already intense time.

CURRENTLY

With the King and Queen rescued and back in power, Miguel goes back to living his life at the castle. Felix lives there as well, as he was pardoned due to his involvement in the rescue mission. Besides that, nothing has really changed that much, however many say that Miguel seems less angsty these days and has matured quite a bit after the adventure.
