Meal

Born in bushes or tree bark where they descend and scrounge the ground for leaf litter, bugs, or dead animals for food. They have an omnivorous diet as larvae which shifts to a primarily carnivorous/insectivorous diet as adults. Once they’re fat enough they pupate from branches and emerge a sealmoth. They can live years as adults and are generally clumsy and friendly. Sealmoths are found more frequently and in larger sizes around areas with dead animals as some lay eggs in and feed from the corpses.

A bite from one can draw blood but otherwise they are mostly harmless
