Darcy Quinn

Darcy grew up in a rural part of Ireland along the outskirts of town which was just more or less the country side; living a couple doors down from her father’s friend’s barn she would frequent. With two loving parents and an adoring younger sister her life was fairly good and steady. However her little sister Ailey was mostly bedridden and never left the house due to feeling poorly the majority of the time; body weak with no improvement. So Young Darcy would always try to cheer her up whenever she brought food or any necessities, which obviously lead to the girl gaining a new interest, hobby, and overall nice way to make her sister not feel as secluded. Darcy’s parents were supportive of course, sending out a bunch of applications for her to a bunch of different schools all over the globe to help get their daughter out there (Although grateful for her parents’ enthusiasm she felt it was a little too much…but that itself rubbed onto Darcy too, just one more trait she sported along with her folks)

Of course the odds of getting into any school or college weren’t exactly 100% as years passed with no word, Darcy’s parents falling silent while the girl herself fell victim to depression for a while as she tried to make no deal of it. It was to be expected, she would tell herself. Though her saving grace would always be her sister; Ailey requesting (Sometimes demanding, bless her heart) the same jests and jokes her older sister would perform for her whenever she was down. Eventually Darcy began building herself back up, slowly but surely. Ailey even shown signs of improving herself, laughing and smiling more, eating well, her interests coming back… Until one day a letter arrived in the mail.

Turns out comedy works differently in every country, it seemed. It was a little bit of a set back for Darcy but not wanting to let her parents’ hard work, money and enthusiasm to go to waste she kept at it, studying the local’s comedy shows, dialect, even language. It wasn’t like her at all since the woman had trouble remembering which shoe went on which foot, so how could she learn an entire language? Well, it turned out her little sister was gifted in that department.

Darcy appears to be laid back and carefree, giving off a genuine, happy, and friendly vibe with the smile she could usually be seen sporting. Jests and Jokes are only to be expected once you get to know her, but she’s loyal right down to the bone. Open-minded and usually needs to hear both sides of an argument, or anything in general before taking sides and or to form a proper opinion. The deep talk starts happening either once she immediately clicks with somebody or when the relationship has been going on long enough for Darcy to feel like the other is comfortable with such talks, it being one of the best ways to really be close to the comedienne. Her loud nature may be off-putting to others, however.
