Andrade is a fellow resident of the neighborhood of Copacabana, taking a easy and busy life working in a mildly popular tattoo studio. His routine gets turned upside down once he gets bitten by a radioactive spider while sketching in his office, having to assume the secret identity of the “Absynthe”, known by the citizens as the “devil of the witching hour” 

Absynthe is the one to put everything in order when chaos appears in the city, mostly doing it’s apparition at night. Although he should be treated like some sort of savior, a dark figure rushing through the night is seen more as an entity in that region. Andrade knows damn well about his reputation being described as some type of “Grim Reaper”, but is completely unbothered about it. He states himself that he’d rather simply have his work recognized than be glorified as a superhero.
