Akane is a half-wolf born of a golden wolf maid in the house of Dawnfire, was kept there as a noble's toy until she ran away with Hize. She's the captain of the ship that they won a saloon bet, which they named Aurora.
Both share a hatred for nobles for buying, selling and trading people, so they don't feel guilty about stealing from them and sometimes even sneakily distributing it to people on the streets who seem in need.
Akane has a soft spot for people who don't have a place to call home, hence why she always come back to the Aurora with an orphan or two like she just adopted a puppy out of the streets.
