🎠 – Faded Fable

faded fable is the royal scrollkeeper. he is rarely seen by the public, only appearing once in a lifetime for most. he has been there for as long as any royal can remember, but he maintains his... youthful? appearance. the truth is that he is unknown by even the royals. his origins are only a vague memory to him, but it's clear that he is a living remnant of what was once the unicorn. generations and generations of ponies came after him, and, with each birth, their immortality waned. he hasn't seen any like him for eons. ponies today that catch a glimpse of him are shocked - nobody believes them when they say that they saw an archaic looking pony. many think he's a ghost. imagine if you saw a neanderthal moving in the shadows.

fable really doesn't care much for others. he changes his appearance with his eon's worth of magic and wanders around equestria, collecting stories of the world as they were written when he was younger. he finds nostalgia in fairytales and was around when even the creation story was, well.. created. 

the unicorn is rather quiet. he doesn't speak unless spoken to and most would think he's rather melancholy. part of him hopes that, one day, he'll find another like him. he misses the warm touch of his mother.
