Anxoius at heart, Maddox naturally worries for his friends, fine with staying in the Key but knowing both Lennox and Callan need to escape and need him by their side to do so.
He's not blind to the troubles that escaping causes however. He's hyper aware of Lennox's deal with the Farlowe, Altas's previous assosication with Lennox, and the fact that Callan can't ever live a normal life outside of the Kestra Key.
Frustrated with problems that seem to have no solution, Maddox does his best to support his friends and hopefully mitigate the troubles that are on the line.
