Crashing their ship onto the shores of Ivythorne Sanctuary on a foggy night and found unconscious, Ketoke was nursed by Alec and Feyros in one of the inn’s unoccupied rooms, though the two, alongside the rest of the village, were extremely wary of the new arrival. Glittandre were only seen a handful of times on well-populated islands and pictured in stories as a species of mystery.
After waking up in a strange place, Ketoke remained on guard until their situation was explained to them. Unfortunately, not only was Ketoke’s only means of transportation destroyed on the village’s shores, they also experienced severe amnesia, forgetting their course of direction and their past. After a mutual agreement had been settled between the villagers, they decided it would be best for the stranger to stay there.
Eventually understanding the full direness of the situation and wanting to repay the village’s kindness, Ketoke learned and mastered the art of trading. Due to their specie’s rarity, Ketoke often takes advantage of traveling merchants’ curiosity, letting them (the merchants) exchange goods for a study of their (Ketoke’s) anatomy.
The Glittandre species has their own language separate of the rest of the species of Zenithia, which often makes communication confusing. Some say they are the oldest species to exist on this world and have a lifespan of several millennia.
Fortunately, Ketoke has studied the Zenithian language enough before their crash to communicate easily on a daily basis with fellow villagers at Ivythorne Sanctuary.
Ketoke still yearns to one day find his true home, but for now remains Ivythorne Sanctuary’s valued merchant.
