A fallen Cherubim
Isaiah guarded the gate of Eden and fought the front line when demons or corrupted human tries to trespass. His duty was alright until demons grew stronger and their number increase. During the war he has slain many adversary and slowly changed. Isaiah wasn't really corrupted by humanity's evil but fell from heaven because of his increasing violent tendencies. He fell and wasn't able to see or hear God anymore.
However, his body doesn't die and after he was on earth, Isaiah tried to influence human or even attempt at becoming a king. This earned him a punishment by the fire of God. He suffered a few repetition of this. The last time took him hundred of years to fully recover, after that he decided to finally just live quietly and peacefully even if he cannot see or hear God. What he didn't realized was that he still craved violence and subconsciously wants to be controlled by someone else.
In modern time, Isaiah cross path with the demon Gideon and was infatuated with him which developed into a crush of some twisted sort.
