Maurice Lightspeed

Maurice Lightspeed is a Bugatti Vision Gran Turismo, or a fancy name for a racing Bugatti, which can race at a speed of 250 mph and reach a max speed of 278 mph. Maurice is the next generation of circuit racers, coming in after the generation that brought us Jackson Storm, and is sponsored by Lumerian Enterprises. This means he is top of the line in nearly everything, from technology to aerodynamics (which you need, to reach a max of 278 mph) to driving skill. However, that doesn't mean he is top of the line in social skills or confidence. In fact Maurice is quite the opposite, lacking enough confidence to bring himself to confront others as well as being socially awkward and a bit introverted; completely opposite of his sister's personality. Despite that Maurice is incredibly confident in his racing abilities and trains himself for all possible outcomes in a race, never missing a single second of training. He and his sister are alike in this regard. 

Physical Description

Maurice and his sister wear matching color pallets for their racing "uniform". Maurice is silver with gold accents, while his sister is gold with silver accents. Both of them have a large Crest of Light marking on their roofs to show they are racers for Lumeria as they are sponsored by them and they both have dragon decals, as well as markings from other draconic sponsors. 

Bio

Both he and his sister were born to racing superstar parents (a Bugatti and Aston Martin from the older days of racing) who have long since been retired. This heritage has gifted them with their parent’s athletic ability and incredible gifts of speed. Once their parents faded into history no one really looked at their family line again especially when the new racers, Jackson Storm's generation, appeared on the scene. So for years they both trained and were tutored privately on a public (though not popular) circuit bought by their family, increasing their natural speed abilities on their own.

How these two were brought into the spotlight was really quite "anti-climactic" as Maurice would call it; though he would never take what happened for granted. It was during a simple patrol across the American countryside that two Lumerian Naval Corps dragons, Foxtrot and Tango, spotted the two siblings running laps on their family's track. Fascinated by the sheer speed the two racers were showing off, the twin dragons hovered a bit in the air, continuing to watch their mock race. Both were impressed with how Maurice and his sister moved so quickly on the track, and mentioned it to Lumera as soon as they saw her once they returned to The City of Light. This in turn intrigued Lumera who, along with her business teams, had just developed a stable presence for Lumerian Enterprises in the machine world. Since she understood the idea of sponsoring racers, and wanted to be able to give talented new racers the ability to shine on their own, Lumera went to talk with Maurice's parents about taking them to actual racing events by sponsoring them. Maurice's parents eagerly agreed as not only would their children have the chance to achieve their dreams of racing, but they would also be sponsored by the company of one of the richest kingdoms; meaning they would have a set and successful future to look forward to.

Once they were officially sponsored by Lumerian Enterprises, Maurice and his sister continued their rigorous training for another three years before finally being ready to enter their first race. A race in which they gained instant publicity due to the fact they were nobodies that won on their very first race, even surpassing Jackson Storm in sheer speed.
