Many who saw her work would descibe her as "unstable," "deranged," or even downright insane due to obsession with explosions. In reality, though, Gadget has become surprisingly down to earth since her days of working under the Koopa King and is fairly easy to converse with. She is a free spirit at heart and can at times act childish regardless of her age when things don't go her way. She will, however, still become a little TOO excited when the topic of bombs is brought up. Just the sound of an explosion getss her giddy, and the idea of causing one herself "makes her feel alive!!" as she puts it. When confronted about her past, she puts on a scary front to further terrify them for her own amusement.
When working under Bowser, Gadget was an ordinary shy gal whose main job was building and inventing weaponry for his ever growing army. But as time passed, she grew more and more attracted to anything that goes KABOOM!! As such, she drew her attention towards bob-ombs, bullet bills etc, thus becoming a boom gal. Together with her younger brother, Widget, they became known as "The Trigger Guys," well renouned for their expertise in weaponry. However, her obsession caused disdain then eventually fear when her explosives started causing collateral damage towards Bowser's minions and even herself! Because of this, she was given the boot to prevent further casualties. "Well if Bowser doesn't want my explosives, I'll just take my business elsewhere!" she exclaimed as she did just that.
Nowadays, she resides in the shadier parts of the Mushroom Kingdom, selling her self-made weapons to anyone with enough coin regardless of their intended use. She has a strict "NO BOWSER" rule, though, and will immediately close shop to anyone who claims to work under him.

Trivia
- The cracks on her mask were caused by the explosions she set off over time. She refuses to get a new one, since this one "adds to her character"
- Despite being a boom gal, she rarely ever uses the bullet blaster due to it's inherent faultiness, and opts for other weapons instead. She will use it to psych out her foes when she feels like toying with them
- Similar to her brother, she smells REALLY bad, reeking of sulfer and gunpowder.
- She is in constant need having something to entertain herself, and will often be found sitting in odd positions and twirling things around in her hand when idle.
Relationships
Widdget (my little bro!)
Due to the large age gap between them, Gadget tends to treat Widget more like her child than a brother. Because of this, she is quite protective and dotes on him often. She is one of the few people who indulges his trash fascination and allows him to bring her scraps during his visits.
Thingama Bobber (my silly little assistant!)
Gadget found Bobber desserted in an alleyway one day, and decided to take him under her wing as a sort of assistant. She finds his skittish nature to be entertaining and will toss him as a weapon when needed.
Gizmo (lay off me, gramps! Jeez-)
She and her brother were asigned to work under Gizmo when they used to work for Bowser. She groans everytime she has to hear him yell at her about being too reckless, and will often tune him out. But ultimately, she respects him as her senior and EVENTUALLY took his advice in later years (only somewhat, though).
